Actress – ‘Rap’

Monday the 27th January 2014 sees the official release of  Actress’ Ghetoville LP on Werkdiscs / Ninja Tune . The Werkdisc frontman has uploaded a track taken from the release entitled ‘Rap’. The track itself ‘Rap’ is an amazingly catchy piece of work that seems to effortlessly trudge along. It’s as if we’re watching a heartfelt scene in an out-dated romantic comedy in which the lead roll takes the walk of shame. Some comparisons can also be drawn from late 80s R&B ballads as the vocals echo the voice of groups like Boyz II Men and Jagged Edge.
