Auxx, AKA Louis Sterling, is an experimental and multi genre electronic producer and DJ from Bath, United Kingdom. The new 7 track EP is an exploration of unexpectedness, danger and mortality through the musical styles and genres I am very closely familiar with. The concept for the record was curated after finding out a family member had passed on the day he moved away from home – hence the title 23/09.
23/09 is currently available for pre-orders, and will be available on all major online stores, as well as 10″ transparent Vinyl and Gold-embossed Cassette, with artwork provided by French award-winning visual artist Grégoire A. Meyer.
“The day I’d officially moved to a new city, was the same day I’d later found out a family member passed away. It inspired me to question and explore unexpectedness, danger and mortality, the key foundations to curating, ’23/09′. Rather than a tribute, I decided to write a project that explores this phase of surrealism through the musical genres and styles I have been closely familiar with. From the statements and sinister atmospheres on ‘Black Wings’, to tracks such as ‘Lilith’, representing the closure of consciousness, knowing of its surrealism and unfamiliar outcome” he says.
