Beatport Launches Embeddable Streaming Service

Beatport has just released its first app for iOS and Android. The app will allow users to have access to a free streaming service, which will be similar to Soundcloud. Through the app, users will be able to play every track that’s available to sell on the Beatport website.

The new service will be embeddable across several different platforms and players, but will also compensate the artists for plays.

“Supporting artists has been a core value at Beatport since day one,” says Beatport‘s Clark Warner in an official statement. “Our embeddable streaming music player not only helps artists promote their music by making it available wherever their fans live online, but we are also taking the necessary steps to pay rights holders for each listen so artists get paid.”
