Beats by Dre team up with Ed Banger for 15 year anniversary

To celebrate 15 years of Ed Banger, Pedro Winter orchestrated a huge event in Paris last night with Beats by Dr. Dre at the legendary Grand Rex by calling on a symphonic orchestra to replay 15 years of their greatest electronic hits.

Beats by Dre greeted guests with an immersive sound experience celebrating Ed Banger’s greatest hits on special bespoke listening stations, curated by Ed Banger. Beats by Dre also created special limited edition 15th anniversary Pill’s to the artists. The show itself was made up of a medley of the best songs of Ed Banger’s repertoire, from Justice to Mr. Oizo, from DJ Mehdi to Sebastian, from Busy P to Breakbot, it was all performed by the Lamoureux Orchestra (70 musicians) and led by the talented Thomas Roussel on the Grand Rex’s mythic stage. The Lamoureux Orchestra used to have exceptional collaborations, since it has already had the opportunity to participate to the 2015 Weather Festival, playing alongside the legendary Derrick May.

The label which impressed a whole generation, whether thanks to Baby I’m Yours from Breakbot or the famous Justice, wanted to mark its 15 years through this innovative evening.

Following the show, guests enjoyed an after party at the Rex Club. With an Ed Banger’s All Stars line up. Artists from the label including Justice, Breakbot, Casius, Boston Bun and more were all present and brought a huge vibe with them!
