Cimo Fränkel re-releases tropical-pop hit ‘Occasional Love’
Singer, producer and Armin van Buuren collaborator Cimo Fränkel is set to re-release 2017’s island paradise single ‘Occasional Love’ set for self-release on 12th January.
Cimo Fränkel’s ‘Occasional Love’ is a sun-soaked tropical hit fit for that perfect summer getaway. Filled to the brim with luscious Caribbean-styled instrumentation and techniques akin to that of genre greats such as ZHU, Kygo or Petit Biscuit, yet Cimo has successfully evolved this essence into something completely of his own; paradise-pop with laid back percussion grooves, a dub-esque rhythm and graciously seductive vocal work amidst a crystal white beach.

Fränkel first garnered the attention of the music world at age 15 when ‘Mooie Dag’ (‘Beautiful Day’) which he co-wrote and performed with Jayh Jawson, went double platinum in The Netherlands, and ‘Shotgun’ (ft. Rochelle) which he co-wrote with Yellow Claw gathered over 120 million YouTube views. Drawing inspiration from his greatest idols Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac and Usher, previous single ‘Never Give Up’ was released in October 2017, embracing the foundation for what has become his signature sound: poppy, catchy and intimate.
