Songstress Clara Mae returns with heartbreaking music video
Swedish songstress Clara Mae first appeared on our radar with the release of her gentle single, ‘Crash’ via Universal Music Sweden and we immediately jumped on board for an exclusive interview with the singer. In it, we discovered she had a unique way of looking at both life and relationships, finishing off by saying, “If you lose someone but find yourself. You won.” We’re finding a particular resonance with this in the release of her latest single, ‘Missing You Sucks’ which was accompanied by a cinematic video in which this concept was explored thoroughly.

Clara Mae has recently released a short excerpt of behind the scenes footage of the video being created however, we’d still encourage the viewer to view the original video multiple times, taking care to catch each nuance and element that’s been incorporated into the footage. The video, released last Friday and directed by Nowell Emanuel, has already collected nearly 73 thousand streams on Youtube.
“My latest single is about trying to get out of the grief and hopelessness a person feels after a breakup. You try everything to get over it but wherever you go or whatever you do, you’re hit with reminders of the person and end with that awful missing feeling. In the end, you want nothing more than to feel good again but it can take time, and missing someone like that can really suck.”
