DRMAGDN pays tribute to The Beatles with ‘Something’ remix
It’s not often that an artist gets an opportunity as significant as this: having signed with BMG, drummer/DJ DRMAGDN was given privileged access to the catalogue of the late-and-great band The Beatles’ lead guitarist George Harrison, which he then used to create a remix of the band’s hit single ‘Something’ with a little help from a friend, songstress Michelle Ray (who appeared in season 4 of The Voice).

The remix’s official lyric video, which we have unveiled for the first time here today, is a sneak peek of the forthcoming official video, which was actually filmed at various venues visited by the legendary rock band during the USA leg of their Beatlemania tour in 1964, specifically JFK Airport, Ed Sullivan Theatre, and Carnegie Hall. Further, DRMAGDN has donated to both The Carnegie Hall Foundation and George Harrison’s own charity The Material World Foundation.
DRMAGDN shares a bit about himself and the remix: “‘Something’ is my favorite Beatles tune of all time. So I jumped at the chance to do a modern remix of the song when BMG acquired George Harrison’s catalog. These musical shoes are literally the biggest in the world to fill, so I had to completely pull out all the stops on this Beatles tribute including nods to the artwork and a truly epic music video.”
