Dutch producer Vincent Rooijers and visual designer Hein Hamers are the team that make up the acclaimed electronic project that is DROELOE. The pair exploded on the scene in 2016 via San Holo’s bitbird label, debuting with their playful yet sturdy trap anthem, ‘Make My Day’. DROELOE have now dropped an impressive EP, titled ‘The Choices We Face’, that features a whopping seven tracks, all of which flow between pop, downtempo, electronic, and other styles, but always settle back to the duo’s signature percussion-heavy sound infused with ear-catching melodies.
DROELOE have a maturity and sound that goes far beyond their years, and they have really proved this with the focussed nature of ‘The Choices We Face’ and their flawless ability to blur the lines between genres. About the EP, DROELOE explains, “The choice of following your dreams is tough to hold onto sometimes because there are so many distractions, influences and thoughts in your own head that will lead you astray from it. This EP is about trying to find the balance of having the urge to impact the world around you vs letting it have an impact on you.”
