NEXO launch their VOLUMETRIX campaign to promote their new STM (Sound Through Modularity) sound system. NEXO will be organising several exclusive shows, where the best DJ’s will be pushing the system to its limits to showcase its formidable power and functionality.
XOYO will play hosts to the first showcase with headliner ALLE FARBEN stepping up to put the system through its paces. Playing alongside ALLE FARBEN will be Austrian duo WILD CULTURE + more TBA.
► ALLE FARBEN – Signed to Berlin label Kallias, FRANS ZIMMER, AKA ALLE FARBEN, has reached heights others can only dream of. ZIMMER drew inspiration from artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser and began DJ’ing in Berlin’s Nightclubs and bars in 2010. He took the alias Hundert Farben (Hundred Colors), which he later changed to his current stage name.
ZIMMER achieved a national breakthrough in May 2012 when he performed to 30,000 people at the former Tempelhof Airport in Berlin. Since then, ZIMMER has constantly been on the go, DJing almost every weekend throughout Germany and all of Europe. He has also played several shows in Tel Aviv.
► WILD CULTURE – The new project from Austrian sound experts Florian Fellier and Felix Brunhuber. The duo have excelled in producing smooth melodies, driving beats and developed an affinity for experimentalism and high technical finesse along with remixing the likes of London Grammar, Andy Caldwell, Daughter and more.
WILD CULTURE found a strong home with Kittbull Records in their early days. The label has been releasing House and Tech House tracks since 2005 and is internationally known for productions and DJ-sets from Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora. WILD CULTURE have since gone on to release with Pleasure Kraft label Kraftek, a label driven by seductive, deep, groove heavy, underground techno inspired music, designed to break emerging new talent. Their remixes of artists like Glass Animals (‘Gooey’) and Tom Misch (‘So Close’) earned them a huge following through Majestic Casual.
NEXO – For more than 30 years, NEXO sound reinforcement loudspeakers have represented the pinnacle of innovative, convergence-inspired design and advanced manufacturing processes. The company has become one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of loudspeakers.
In 1993, NEXO’s first PS Series product was launched, with performance that dramatically exceeded what might be expected from a compact loudspeaker at the time. The PS went on to become one of the most successful sound reinforcement speakers of all time and, in 2009, the bar was raised yet further with the launch of the uprated PS-R2 Series. Soon after, NEXO won the contract to equip the prestigious Stade de France national sporting stadium, venue of the World Cup Final in 1998, with its groundbreaking Alpha system. And early in the new century, NEXO unveiled its revolutionary GEO technology which immediately set new standards for coherence, accuracy and consistent SPL coverage in arrayable loudspeaker systems.
Like-minded music companies, like BPM support NEXO and co-sponsor their events.
