Female-focussed PR company Her Music PR has just co-launched Yorkshire’s first all female music festival, HerFest, a female-centred music experience that will take place in both Leeds, at the Brudenell Social Club, and in Sheffield, at The Picture House Social. The two events will take place on October 20 and November 3, respectively. The ultimate mission of the festival is to help bridge the gender gap within the music industry by supporting female artists while also creating a fun and quality music event.

Her Music PR have teamed up with Come Play With Me, an NGO that offers artist development opportunities to those making music in the Leeds City Region, and have received funding from both Brighter Sound of Manchester and PRS For Music. There is a really exciting line-up planned for the events, with surreal electro-pop group Stealing Sheep and indie-pop trio The Tuts headlining Leeds and psychedelic pop outfit She Drew The Gun headlining at Sheffield, all exceptional women-only or female-fronted music acts.
