FKA Twigs announces new mixtape, ‘Caprisongs’

FKA Twigs has announced the her new mixtape, Caprisongs, will be released next week. Featuring seventeen new songs, the mixtape marks Twigs’s first fresh solo material since 2019’s Magdalene. 

Speaking on the direction of the mixtape, Twigs shared: “Caprisongs… it’s bronzer in the sink, alco pop on the side, a cherry lolly, apple juice when you’re thirsty, friends in the park, your favourite person, that one sentence somebody said to you that changed everything, a club pre-game, your bestie who is always late but brings the most to the party, meeting a friend at the airport, just togetherness.”

Last year, the UK singer and dancer teased that her new music was “ironically, a lot lighter” and inspired by going out and dancing with her friends. Tellingly, Caprisongs features a massive list of collaborations, including tracks with Shygirl, Daniel Caesar, and The Weeknd who appears on recently released single Tears In The Club. Sega Bodega, Koreless and Arca serve as featured producers, amongst others while Twigs and El Guincho serve as executive producers for the project. 

Caprisongs will be released on January 14th via Young and Atlantic Records, marking the singer’s first record on Atlantic. Check out the album art and tracklist for Caprisongs and music video for Tears In The Club featuring The Weeknd below.
