Ghost In The Shell Soundtrack Features Tricky, Nils Frahm, DJ Shadow

Forthcoming film Ghost In The Shell – a remake of the 1995 animé feature of the same name – will feature a soundtrack boasting the likes of Tricky, Nils Frahm, DJ Shadow and Johnny Jewel.

Officially called Music Inspired By The Motion Picture Ghost In The Shell, it is unclear how many of the announced tracks will feature in the film itself, which stars Scarlett Johansson as Major Motoko Kusanagi and will be released on March 31st.

The news comes after a rocky start to life for the film reboot, with fans complaining of the ‘white-washing’ implied by Johansson’s casting, and Steve Aoki’s divisive remix of the original theme music.
