Hype Williams Reunited? Listen To New Track

Have post-rave tricksters and media manipulators Hype Williams reformed? A new song credited to the duo entitled ‘Distance’ has been uploaded to their Soundcloud account. Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland went their separate ways following the album Black Is Beautiful – released under their own names by Hyperdub in 2012 – and have since pursued solo careers, although Hyperdub founder Steve Goodman aka Kode9 has hinted at their return.

The track is tagged “ForBAM” which some have speculated is a tribute to Hippos In Tanks label founder Barron Machat, who died in April of this year.
