iPad version of iconic Prophet VS synth released

French software developers Arturia have just released iProphet, a recreation of the classic Sequential Circuits Prophet VS synth for the iPad.

First produced in 1986, the original Prophet VS is recognised as one of the most influential pieces of hardware in the development of electronic music, and was featured in FACT Magazine’s guide to 14 synthesizers that shaped modern music.

Arturia has already had success with tablet versions of the Minimoog and Oberheim SEM synths and claims that, with this latest product, “Deep pads, intense leads, unique FX’s [and] an iconic realm of sounds is now at your fingertips.”
