J Dilla’s estate announces long lost album, releases “The Introduction”
J Dilla‘s estate have decided to release a new album of previously unheard material called The Diary, on April 15th through Playjay Records, in conjunction with Mass Appeal. While there have been previous releases in the past, according to Eothen “Egon” Alapatt, former Stones Throw Manager and current Dilla estate creative director, this upcoming release was the last project Dilla had planned to actually release during his lifetime.
The renowned producer and beat-making legend passed away in 2006. The first release of the album is titled “The Introduction,” and you can take a listen below. Make sure to also check out the full interview with Alapatt via Rolling Stones.
