Jack Trades & Kayrae release shimmering dance-pop anthem

Start your weekend off right with the newly released single, ‘Phantoms’ from Jack Trades and Kayrae. The single, released today via Physical Presents, marks a little over a year since the two released their hit single together, ‘Sideways’. The latest single carries a melancholic tone that’s blended into a thrumming dance-floor single. The two distinctive styles blend seamlessly, incorporating a pop-laden flavour to round it all off.
Jack Trades tells us about the creation of the single: “Kayrae and myself wanted to do a follow up on “Sideways” and knew, in terms of storytelling, that we wanted to talk about the next chapter of what really happened after being in a relationship that had no future. ‘Phantoms’ is a song about going through emotions of separation and that sooner or later we’ve all got to let go of our past. The result is something very different and unique, potentially shaping the future of the “Jack Trades” sound moving forward.”
Kayrae tells us about the concept of the single: “‘Phantoms’ is the continuation of a love lost, the lingering uncertainty that haunts the restless heart. A letter written to the ghost of what once was…”
Between the two of them, Jack Trades and Kayrae have millions of views across streaming platforms.
