‘Lailonie’ by Marsh – Healing through house music
Another exciting new talent under the Aunjunadeep roster, Marsh is a UK-bred, Cincinnati based deep and progressive house producer. At the end of last year he came back with a new album titled Lailonie which reflects his journey to a spiritual awakening.
While most artists pride themselves in presenting any particular piece of art as being personal, it is not always the case. Tom Marshall’s Lailonie champions the adjective in its description as a testament to the healing and spiritual power of music in the face of tragedy.
The album was written over three years and came in the wake of the unexpected passing of a beloved family member. The album is mostly inspired by this tragedy, along with other impactful life experiences and the different locations visited during production.
The opener ‘Florence’ will instantly captivate its listeners, as Marsh introduces us to his world with pleasant sounds of the rainforest along with a blend of soft piano keys and ethereal synths tantalizing the earbuds.
“Lailonie’, pronounced ‘Lay-lah-knee’, has been a safe place for me to express a multitude of feelings, moments and memories I’ve experienced over the last three years.” –Marsh
Anjunadeep added that with ‘Lailonie’, Marsh continues to tell his story of healing and inner peace through his enchantingly deep and progressive sound, and looks set to follow in the footsteps of fellow Anjunadeep alumni such as Lane 8, Yotto and Ben Böhmer on his rise to the top of the dance music world.
