Legendary artist David Bowie dies at 69

Legendary artist David Bowie has passed away, his publicist, and later his family, has confirmed late last night. The musician, who’s career has stretched across decades, has influenced and touched the lives of nearly every genre of music, and his discography has highlighted the limitless creativity that could be within one human mind.

His latest album, Blackstar, was released on his birthday earlier this year. Bowie had also been fighting liver cancer for 18 months. David Visconti, Bowie’s longtime producer and collaborator, has called the album his ‘parting gift’. Visconti also mentioned that ‘his death was no different from his life – a work of Art’.

The world has highlighted their mourning, with artists, fans, and everyone in-between has expressed their respect for the artist.
