Man Raises £11,000 For Charity By Listening To Nickleback 24/7 For A Week

U.S man, Jesse Carey has raised over £11,000 ($18,000) for charity by promising to listen to only Nickleback for one week. The sponsorship conditions mean that he must listen to the Canadian rock band whilst he works, eats, sleeps and even showers for a total of 168 consecutive hours.  

This is not the first time that Nickleback come under scrutiny; a crowd funding campaign was recently launched to stop the band from performing in London. 

Carey has described the what he is doing as the “Ultimate test of human endurance“, stating: “I’m willing to put my personal health at risk for the challenge. Obviously, exposure to such a large quantity of Nickelback is very dangerous. Several doctors have all said that such an endeavour could result in irreversible damage to my ears, brain, kidneys and soul.”

Money raised will be going to Water, an organisation which builds water wells in developing countries.
