PREMIERE: Listen to Pressyes’ Lo-fi, dreamy number, ‘Touch The Sky’
Pressyes is the new project from Vienna-based producer/singer/songwriter René Mühlberger. Having previously toured Europe with well-known bands and recently collaborated with Austrian trio Gudrun von Laxenburg on track “Just Can’t Get Enough ft. Pressyes” (Skint Records), he has now announced the release of his debut single, ‘Touch The Sky’ which we are able to bring you below.
Produced by Magnus Henriksson (Eclipse, W.E.T, Jimi Jamison), ‘Touch The Sky’ is a heavenly introduction to Pressyes’ fascinating world of psychedelic, dreamlike soundscapes. Reminiscent of Tame Impala and Ariel Pink, this summer-ready new cut effortlessly takes you on a sonic trip to the sky.
Pressyes says of the single, “‘Touch The Sky’ played a very strong role in defining the overall sound for Pressyes. It started off as a very simple acoustic psychedelic tune 2 years ago – and suddenly turned into a groovy hip hop influenced track after making up my vintage Ludwig drum set and boosting it through an old cassette tape machine. The lyrics for the song were never really written – they were just improvised while singing the first take. And that’s what the song is all about: letting the mind breathe instead of overthinking”.
‘Touch The Sky’ is set for release on 30th June via Ink Music. (Stream via Spotify).
