PREMIERE: NTEIBINT & Matina Sous Peau – ‘What You Need’

Over the past few years Greek producer NTEIBINT (pronounced n-thaï-bint) has become renowned for producing the kind of emotional disco that is guaranteed to move bodies, minds and souls. The musical alter ego of Greek producer George Bakalakos, the gifted producer is known for lush, sonic soundscapes and strong grooves. who has been at the forefront of the Greek electronic music scene for a number of years, NTEIBINT has become well known for his sumptuous reinterpretation of classic disco sounds.
What You Need is another effortlessly light & breezy nu-disco cut from the producer. It’s the kind of 90’s inflected house ballad that recalls warm summer nights spent dancing under the stars. “It’s an echo of the disco sounds of the past, and Matina has the perfect voice for this kind of song, so producing this track and working with her again was a real labour of love,” says NTEIBENT. The result of this collaboration is a track that would sound perfectly at home both on pop radio and soundtracking lavish boat parties in the Adriatic.
What You Need is a vibrant, catchy number that combines a pop sensibility with on point club production and a surprisingly introspective theme. For Matina, the song is about “looking within. It’s about an inner search during which you discover yourself, and where everything that stands true for you is suddenly revealed in a flash”. ‘What You Need’ completes a stunning trilogy for the two Greek artists, exploring the club sounds of the past and reshaping them into something fresh and modern.
