Following the reissue of their seminal 2000 album Kid A and 2001’ Amnesiac as Kid A Mnesia, Radiohead have announced a new virtual experience. The KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION will be out November 18th. Originally conceived as a physical exhibition that was designed to travel the world, plans shifted to the digital and virtual space after the pandemic.
First teased in September, KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION will be available as a free download available for Mac, PC and Playstation 5 and will be released via video game company Epic Games. The project has been described as “an upside-down digital/analogue universe created from original artwork by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood and sound design by Nigel Godrich.”
Kid A Mnesia was released on November 5th to celebrate the 20th anniversary of both Kid A and Amnesiac, featuring previously unheard material and selected B-sides. Watch a trailer for the KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION below.
