Filled with passion and charisma, new single ‘Heat Of It All’ by Australian musician Andy Martin has been officially released. Originally a trumpet player, Andy was scouted by world-acclaimed guitarist and musician James Morrison at a performance at the young age of 17. He would soon enroll in music studies at the renowned Mt Gambier Academy (Morrison is the founder) soon after that. Martin is currently under the guidance of rock legend Ian Haug (Powderfinger and The Church). The musician embarked on his solo career earlier this year and sits over an impressive 80 000 streams on Spotify. Andy has also shared the stage with Alex Lahey and has performed at the Commonwealth Games.
Andy shares his thoughts on the single, “Most of the songs I write come together in a matter of hours. ‘Heat of it All’ was not one of those. I actually wrote the hook/chorus for this around 3/4 years ago. I had been playing around with progressions and some of the verse lyrics. That is why I am so proud of this song. It shows how I have evolved as a songwriter of the last few years. If you want to dance, cry, laugh or hold somebody, this ones for you (so everyone!).”
