Overmono have a knack for releasing music perfectly tuned to the seasons. On Walk Thru Water, they take a turn toward sparse, minimal trap with touches of avant-garde R&B. The enigmatic Kimbra makes a comeback with Replay!, possibly one of her strongest singles to date. Kimbra has always been a stylistic chameleon, but it’s her inherent instinct for rhythm that has made her distinct. On Replay! she weaves together influences from bounce, juke, and atmospheric alt-pop, making for a bold reintroduction to the singer that you used to know.
PinkPantheress – Do You Miss Me?
Viral sensation PinkPantheress is one of the best things to come out of Tik-Tok ever, and her latest single extends her nuanced and intelligent sonic palette further. The KAYTRANADA produced Do You Miss Me? takes a breezy highlife beat and makes it kind of jungle, with layers of polyrhythms and vocal gymnastics from PinkPantheress.
