Run The Jewels Share ‘Oh My Darling Don’t Meow’ From ‘Meow The Jewels’

Run The Jewels aka El-P and Killer Mike have shared a track from their forthcoming remix album Meow The Jewels. The album’s somewhat unusual concept finds El and Mike inviting selected producers to rework tracks from last year’s Run The Jewels 2 album using only the original vocals – and samples of cats. The newly shared track is a version of ‘Oh My Darling Don’t Cry’ remixed with feline accompaniment by Just Blaze.

El-P has previously announced that 100% of the profits from the Kickstarter-funded project will be donated to charities that benefit victims of police brutality. The album will get a free digital release along with a limited edition vinyl release. El has also said that “if all goes right,” the album will be released this month.

‘Oh My Darling Don’t Meow’ is already proving to be (ahem) catnip for the online community who are hailing it variously as the best or worst thing they have ever heard. Judge for yourself below and download free from the Run The Jewels website
