Sonic sorcerer Elevated Focusion shares a sizzling second album, Dark Nights
Experimental electronic project Elevated Focusion unveiled his second album, ‘Dark Nights’, on September 20, 2024. Elevated Focusion used to make music under the guise of Jonny Rythmns when he created music on his synthesizer keyboard from 2001 to 2004. In 2022, during quarantine, he decided to release all his old music under the name Jonny Rythmns, pivoting to the name Elevated Focusion in 2023. This marked his first musical endeavor in 20 years, signaling a significant comeback. This new album represents his proudest achievement as an artist, and he is truly excited to share it with the world.
Club Hell’ kicks off the album with an electrifying energy that sets the stage for the tracks to follow. Bursting with funk and flair, this standout opener features the captivating vocals of Ariana Celaeno, complemented by a sharp rap verse from Empress Hou. Adding to the irresistible groove, Churrogreen delivers a seriously funky synth bassline that anchors the track. Together, they create a vibrant anthem that boldly declares: “Hell is where the party is!”
Dark Nights as a whole is an innovative electronic pop fusion album that serves as a rich anthology of diverse musical styles. It seamlessly blends elements of rock, hip hop, reggae, EDM, pop, funk, house, jazz, and world music, all brought together through a combination of electronic production techniques and live instrumentation. Each track invites listeners on a journey through various genres, creating a unique soundscape that is both fresh and nostalgic.
