Set the tone for us. Why the arts?

Have you ever experienced goosebumps when listening to music? Multiply that feeling by 1 million. Performing music to crowds of people seems to excite my skin and adrenal glands. It’s one of the most addictive feelings on earth to have the honour of controlling the vibe for a short sum of time.

 

Which comes first when you’re producing – the sound or the idea?

The idea always comes first. 

Building a story around sound is the key objective when I produce music.

 

What’s on your current playlist?

Surely that would destroy the surprise for anyone coming to watch my performance. Come to the festival, bring your Shazam app, but I can promise you it won’t work 90% of the time.

 

Tell us about the chemistry you have with your fans on stage.

Imagine a hunter watching its prey. Closely watching every itch and twitch until the perfect time to pounce. I like to start off with subtle movements and then aggressively shock the ears into controlling the movement of your body. It’s a game of cat and mouse, a controlled test in a sonic laboratory. They think they know what’s coming, but they are often caught with their pants down.

 

How are you prepping for your set at TIMELESS fest?

I only ever prepare the songs I wish to play. Everything else is freestyled from the stage. It keeps me on my toes and truly makes me feel like a DJ and not a Jukebox.

 

Imagine you’re a festival goer. Do you rough it in a tent or glamp in luxury?

Glamping all the way baby!!!!

 

What one thing MUST you absolutely have with you on stage?

Water and a fan (for cooling), I’m quite a simple being.
