VOWWS drop new album ‘Under the World’
The LA duo’s new album is out today, via Anti-Language Records.
With the new album Under the World, VOWWS craft a dark pop masterpiece – a cinematic, stylish and menacing statement of intent. Drawing upon influences as diverse as classic western folk, electronica, surf rock, alternative, and film music, the enigmatic duo weave disparate threads of cultural influence together into a tapestry of drama, imagination and surprising warmth.
The album is available on all digital streaming services, and will be available on vinyl on April 20th, via Anti-Language Records in the US and Weyrd Son Records in Europe. The European vinyl will be a special, 2 colored limited edition.

Under the World was largely recorded with friend, mentor and engineer Kevin S. McMahon (Swans, Titus Andronicus) at his New Paltz NY studio. While the timeless influence of McMahon and his weatherworn studio in a barn are still present, this time around VOWWS took on a more prominent role in producing and mixing the record. Under the World deliberately eschews any obvious Post-Punk and Industrial tropes, instead allowing space for its stylish hooks, direct vocals and rich textures to shine.
It is the first full length release on the band’s own label, Anti-Language Records.
